If you operate in Argentina and use a custom management system, integrating electronic invoicing with AFIP is a mandatory step. The good news: its not as complex as it seems.
What AFIP integration involves
AFIP offers web services that allow generating electronic receipts (invoices, credit notes, receipts) directly from your system. The integration eliminates the need to manually enter invoices in the AFIP portal or use an external invoicing tool.
Concrete benefits
- Invoices generated with one click from your system
- Automatic and correlative numbering
- Invoice PDF generated instantly
- Tax data validated against AFIP in real time
- Complete history integrated with your client management
How it works technically
Digital certificates
AFIP requires digital certificates to authenticate requests. They are generated once and renewed periodically.
Web Services
Commúnication is done via SOAP with WSFE (electronic invoicing) and WSAA (authentication) services. Your system sends the receipt data and AFIP returns the CAE (Electronic Authorization Code).
Receipt types
Invoices A, B, C, credit notes, debit notes, receipts. Each has its own tax logic that the system must handle correctly.
Our experience
Weve integrated electronic invoicing in multiple custom systems for clients in Argentina. The typical process takes 2 to 3 weeks, including testing in AFIPs homologation environment.
